Original Painting - Calendula with Bee 7x5

Calendula officinalis, also known as pot marigold, is a widely known edible and medicinal flower. However, I mostly grow it for the bees. The native (to Washington State) Longhorn Bee is one of my favorites. This particular pollinator was captured on camera, working hard in my garden last summer.
